An Apple a Day

Mateo has learned how to push his little chair over to the kitchen counter, climb up, streeetccchh his go-go gadget arms across the countertop and pluck an apple from the fruit bowl. He walks around most if the day now with a half-eaten red delicious tucked into his right elbow. When he needs to free his arm so he can have use of both of them to climb something else, he just chucks the apple to wherever he is trying to get (on top of the couch, onto the window seat) climbs up using both free hands, takes a bite from the apple and then tucks it back into the crook of his arm. We've gone through a lot of apples lately.
